The Patchwork Project began in 2000 with the intention of publishing baseline studies of local patches around the county. The format has become stylised as an introduction followed by a map and some local information, then a systematic list of birds and in some cases lists of other taxa such as mammals and butterflies. This book covers the brief in fine style.
